The hideout is located in the Pidgorets Forest on the site of a former rebel hideout. Its main purpose is to print propaganda materials. On September 6, 1945, with the participation of fighters of the First Rifle Company of the NKVD garrison of the city of Kalush under the command of Lieutenant Vnukov, a special operation was organized to destroy the hideout based on information received from a secret informant B.

At that time, there were 6 rebels in it: Volodymyr Kalinii (pseudonym "Artem"), Ivan Lilak (pseudonym "Aleksiy"), Ivan Magas (pseudonym "Cheremosh"), Stepan Magas (pseudonym "Blagy"), Danylo Kohut (pseudonym "Khmara"), Zenoviy Tabachuk (pseudonym "Viter"). As a result of an unequal battle, all six rebels died.
