People's House in Kalush

  • Shevchenko St., 8

The two-story building on Shevchenko Street, with an original architectural solution, is the premises of the Ukrainian People's House. The date of construction is 1907, recorded on the weather vane of the building's dome. However, the completion of the building lasted until 1914.

In 1880, a wooden building of the People's House was probably built on Pidvalna Street near the current Exhibition Hall, in which all the events of the city's social and political life took place until 1914.

Attention is drawn to the elegant architecture of the current building of the People's House. The structure of the building is wrapped in an L-shaped shape. In the center, a tent-shaped (conical) tower with a lace balcony is clearly visible from all sides of the street. The architectural style is defined as early modern.
